Tune: St Denio

('Immortal, invisible, God only wise')

Colossians 1 v.19-23

********

It pleased God that Father that in Christ should dwell

All fulness, and having made peace through Him well

Peace through the blood of His cross, that He did shed

By him to reconcile all things, life from dead

God reconciles all things to Himself, we see

'Tis through Christ, all things that in heaven, earth be

And you that were sometimes alienated

And enemies in your mind, unto sins led

Yet now you He has reconciled by body

Of Christ, through His death, to present you holy

And unblameable and unreproveable

In His sight, to salvation He does you call

If you continue in the faith here groudned

And settled, steadfast, on the hope true founded

The hope of the gospel, which is to all preached

Until unto ends of the earth it has reached
