Tune: Webb
('Stand up, stand up for Jesus')
Jeremiah 32 v.15-19
********
Jeremiah did buy land
Directed by God's hand* (*Spirit)
A sign that God His people
Would them restore, recall
And bring back to Israel
They would know His works well
So Jeremiah's praises
To the Lord he raises
Ah Lord God! behold here you
Have made heaven, earth true
By your great power and stretched
Out arm, life you have fetched
Called each thing into being
Nothing too hard, nothing
For you is too difficult
You do all without fault
You show loving kindness to
Thousands, mercies renew
But also repay those who
Continual evil do
The Great, the Mighty God, you
Lord of hosts ever true
Is His name, great in counsel
Mighty in deed, we tell
Your eyes are open, you see
What each person's ways be
You give to each one duly
Even as their ways be
And according to what they
Do in each night and day
Rewards unto the faithful
You keep them, they not fall

Oh hey! We sang this long time ago at the GYA. Love how the trumpet raspberried, so authentic. (or was it the French horn? lol)
Thanks CB. An American video! Oh lol, gya on google brought up 'a billion years'. How old Goldfinch and I are, in our dizzy ramblings! In UK it is 1 and 9 zeros I think. What is it in Australia?
Who knows these days! We're rolling in it here.
Thank you my friend for this lovely write and the beautiful musical accompaniment. I'm off for my colonoscopy this morning, and you have given me courage.
Thanks Bella. Good wishes - not 'luck!' Yes, it's quite stunning really. Jeremiah in the midst of exile with the people, instructed to buy land, then his outburst of praise. See this too, a song based on the verses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOh7nyujT_0 Or search for 'Ah Lord God thou hast made the heavens lyrics'.
Thank you Orchi, I gave a listen and so very joyful.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
