Fear

sorenbarrett

Fear hangs like a drop

Not knowing where it might stop

Hanging, growing, clinging

Increased anxiety bringing

It stretches and threatens to fall

Muscles tighten skin starts to crawl

I hide my eyes not wanting to know

The reality I dread, but don't want to be so

Soren, your poem revolves around the overwhelming sensation of fear and anxiety. It depicts the paralyzing effect of fear that looms over time, creating a sense of impending doom and dread. Your poem focuses on the internal struggle with fear, how it manifests physically and emotionally, and the desire to avoid confronting the reality that fuels this fear, which I know so well. Yet there's nobody there to help or understand you. you're alone with all these fears in a dark box Feeling so hopeless alone and most of all Broken!

Thanks for the read and understanding. Fear is a common emotion that when we have it we feel no one else can understand and leaves us isolated. Yet it in different ways has been felt by all to a greater or lessor degree and in different ways.
