I heard them in the sixties,
These two young Americans
Singing their songs so well,
Songs that are still known,
Still well-known even now
Over fifty years later.
I have listened to them,
Sang them,
And enjoyed them all my life.
Such a wonderful sound
Made for us all,
By Simon and Garfunkel.

I wanted to join them in my 'singing', but they sent me a postcard saying 'Wish you woz not here!' lol.
Some 'proper' music here, not trashy!
Thank you Orchi.
Yes they sound so good.

Oh the memories you bring back:
Each when ‘Those were the days my friend’
Then sometimes I see through the crack
And hope once more the world can mend.
I do hope the world will mend and the Bridge over Troubled Waters will fix it all.

Wonderful duo -- the song you chose has ever been a favourite of those who love good music and words.
Thank you Fay.
Yes it is a special song, the Community Choir that I am in came and sang this song at Joyce's funeral.

That is probably the most recognisable of the their work. Awesome tribute.
Thank you Rik, I think I know nearly all of their songs, they are terrific.

Each of us an Island. Each island brought together to make a whole.
This pair held us all from homeward bound to troubled waters and beyond. Apart their magic continues.
So very true d a, their magic certainly does continue.
