Poem on a Plate
Obrigado, she said,
let’s go
make like the locals
and live
as finely as nobles
off land
and the sea ..
On freshly caught
anchovies,
black olives,
and unpasteurised
goats cheese,
buckets of red wine
white grapes,
and wild honey ..
Plus baskets
of this homemade,
still warm
and delicious crusty
coarse
Portuguese bread ..

That’s the best poetry of all, a platter full of delicacies.
For those who want their cake and to eat it too .... thanking you sir 🙂
Didn't quite bring back the romance of faggots and peas on the street corner.
They really need to teach them to clean up after themselves these days .. 🙂
Good write Obrigado, erm, Neville. lol.
Oh it's not a person. lol.
Thank goodness for Google eh Mr. O 🙂
But not Dr Google - that can be ghastly for some folk. We can think we have every disease and illness that is going.
what's wrong with that, some of you have 🙂
What a deeelishuss taste of simple dishes when love's on the menu my friend. - - methinks this needs a big "origado" for such a poetic platter Nev.- - - - (at least as I understand that Portugese word) ..............x
and there was me wondering if anyone would fancy seconds .. many obrigado's Fay 🙂 x
Certainly one way of consolidating international relations is via a good feed (not into haute cuisine).
Just give us a few olives, a bucket of red wine n some goats cheese to wipe on the crusty bread….
An good will for everyone… I’m off for a nap after, as tranquility slowly seeps through my body.
Burp….
Cheers, maybe we should form that cult after all 🙂
Sounds good to me.
Andy
