Tune: Tallis' Evening Hymn

('Glory to thee, my God this night')

Colossians 2 v.8-10

*********

Beware lest you be captive by

By all man-made philosophy

And vain deceit, man's traditions

Which unto human wisdom runs

And too the basic principles

Of the world, what each to you calls

They be not the ways spiritual

They do not follow Christ at all

For in Christ dwells all the fulness

Of the Godhead, it so, not less

And you are complete in Him who

Gives eternal life to you new

He is the head, He the chief one

Over all earthly rule, the Son

Of God, and over all He be

Of all power, authority
