Slithered Moon Haiku.

Goldfinch60

The slithered moon shines

Cutting the sky with its light,

Bringing light to all.

  • Comment from author about the poem: There is a slithered moon today. “Ella Fitzgerald is the only performer with whom I’ve ever worked who made me nervous. Because I try to work up to what she does. You know, try to pull myself up to that height, because I believe she is the greatest popular singer in the world, barring none—male or female.” —Frank Sinatra

    Good write Gold. Remember our greeting the astronauts on the moon in 1969?

      I certainly do Orchi, they were most surprised.

      Do slither away, you very new moon;
      Claim to be cutting the sky with your light?
      Just wait ‘til you’re older and get it right.
      This a golden rule I’ll institute soon.......

      I cannot find a clear definition provided by Prof. Google, so I’ve made the assumption that this is a new moon. Please clarify – answer required (you have been missing in action several times recently, Andy – Lifestyle too lavish, or just getting old? 🙂🙂)

        The moon phase is the First Quarter.

        Time just seems to disappear at the moment but all is fine and I will come back into action.

        Love that rendition of that song. At first I was expecting Fly Me To The Moon because of the poem and its title. Shows you how one tracked my mind can be!

          I have often put up Fly Me To The Moon by various artists but I came across this recording and thought how good it was.

          Never heard of a moon described as slithering before. Trying to picture a snake-like moon in the sky.

            Just a description that came to mind d a.
