Ten Years After
Ten years from now,
I am reasonably sure
I may not remember
your name, or your
number, should you
ever dare give them
to me .. But have no
doubt at all, I am sure
to recall, that fire in
those eyes of yours,
the like of which,
I had not seen before
and may never again,
until the day that I die

Same could be said about these exchanges of poetry. But perhaps they would have to be read aloud as the eyesight is gradually but surely fading as well.
what an interesting view you propose.
like tail lights in the snow... with no indication of where or how far they will go
Precisely ................................ thank you 🙂
Love 's memory is timeless and its fire never alters. A comforting read dear friend.
I am delighted you should see it my way, thanks Fay x
Beautifully relatable...
you just made each corner of my mouth involuntarily reach for the ceiling .. thank you and kindly 🙂
The residue, since the data so obviously redundant....but such residue........
indubitably sir 🙂
Did I meet such a lass?! lol.
if you can't remember her, then I very much doubt it
Beautiful, Poet.
How very kind, thank you Soma .. Much appreciated .. Neville
An encounter, seared upon the mind, not easily forgotten. Though time may dim the details, the impact remains and serves to comfort. So well versed dear friend.
Thank you Bella ....... another very much appreciated visit from a very dear literary friend .. Neville
Sounds like love at first sight to me N.
At reading your title, I'd thought this was going to be about the rock band Ten Years After. But I was still not disappointed.
thanks my friend .. and what a great band they were/are .. best known for their early stuff, but still going .. their last album was released not long ago, I got it last year as a present from my daughter 🙂
That love will never be forgotten.
Andy
thank you GF60 🙂
We may not remember numbers, but we remember words. Yours are particularly touching and help to embed the muse in time for the rest of eternity. Thank you.
and you ma'am are far too generous .. thank you & truly .. Neville
A moment together is far more valuable than an eternity apart and such a memory accompanies one for life and perhaps beyond. Because it's a connection between souls and forever embedded in the heart. Time passes yet it's a moment frozen in time. A beautiful sentiment told in lovely verse Neville. Loved this!❤
You clearly have a keen eye and have a wise head on those young shoulders my friend .. thank you so very much Neville 🙂
Brilliant!
(nothing, is scorched into memory like the wrath
of the one, you once trusted with all your heart...)
I am quite partial to the term brilliant .. even if I do say so my self ..... bless you brother Mek 🙂
