glimpse

dusk arising

i think its a shroud of depression
cloaks ones mind when
bad news about ones health
takes over imparting a new hue
to ones daily endeavours
though little chinks of something
(this is one of them)
still manage to peer through
the drug enduced wowseyness
haunting my days
with its fudge like damper
of restraint around what was
a bucking bronco
and is now mouse like
scratching sooted glass
for a chance to glimpse

You may never know how much I feel for you my friend .. since I cannot fill in the detail on the day when my younger brother is having his right lung removed .. but be sure, I do feel for you ...... Neville

Sympathy and wishing much strength to your brother in the days to come.

You with experience describe what the treatment does to the mind and you tell it precisely enough to bring tears to my eyes along with wishes for you ............ and hugs to you too. xx

"scratching sooted glass for a chance to glimpse". Such powerful words that convey the place you are in right now. Love, best wishes, strength, good things, to you my friend.

  • Goldfinch60

That glimpse will be better the more you scratch and rub that sooted glass d a.
