Hey babe,

don’t feel sad, not for this old soldier anyway

Neither you,

or this war of ours made me ache like this ..

But just

between the two of us, did you really think

there was 

any real alternative ..................................... x

And so for

now at least, so long and thanks for all the fish ..

        Amazing .. I neva knew just how many would guess where the inspiration, or at least part of it came from .. I am very lucky to have met DA at a book signing in Manchester .. the girl though was something else ...............Thanks again my friend 🙂

            BTW beyond the fond ending , which was kind and reasonable I felt, what was the cause of the ache?

              I am not really into science fiction DD but I do have all DA's books and Hitchhikers Guide & So Long & Thanks for bla di bla di blah are both signed by the guy himself ..... the girl I allude to here, is just one of them girls from the past that I allude to here ............... Neville 🙂

                we had a whale of a time but its all in the past now my little golden wonder .. oh' n thanks for giving the fish a name kind sir .. keep ya bill up it'll soon be Christmas .. my least favourite time o year 🙂
