Tune: Merton
('Hark a thrilling [or herald] voice is sounding')
Luke 3 v.4-6
*********
John Baptist fulfilled prophecy
Of Isaiah, here now see
For he be the voice of one who
Cries, Repentant deeds now do
Voice of one in the wilderness
He a prophet we confess
Saying, Prepare way of the Lord
Attend to Him, hear His word
Make His path straight, every valley
Shall be filled, every hill be
With every mountain be brought low
Crooked made straight, shall be so
And the rough places shall be made
Smooth, all ready, all displayed
And all flesh shall see in the time
God's salvation in life's rhyme

Oh lol, thanks N. And - 'To fail to prepare is to prepare to fail'. Doh!
Dear Orchi, how many voices have been heard and unheeded. We do seem to have an impediment of hearing but not listening. Keep us on the straight and narrow my friend.
Thanks Bella.
A fine song, Orchi.
Thanks Jerry.
Do you feel the drumbeat thumping in the distance? Soon the trumpet shall be blowing! On the cloud the only worthy one descending.
Thanks CB.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
