And On And On And On

M.E.M.

Life is for feeling alive
I have felt alive plenty of times.
But not many stack up to a ride on the back of a motorcycle.

A death trap on two wheels
that my friend just got his license for less than a month prior.
The wind whipping me back,
My hands clasped tightly around his chest,
And my eyes watering from the rush.

Around and around we went.
Through back roads
mere miles from speeding cars on highways.
We sped down empty streets.

I cried out in excitement.
A smile plastered on my face
And eyes closed to the rushing wind.

We pull back into the parking lot.
He turns off his bike.
We dismount and say goodbye.

Lucky lucky lucky. I rode a motorcycle for a number of years - that story of yours creeped me out.

      a wonderfully vivid description
      I think up to 250cc
it's all fun and tumbles, but those greater
      beasts
are on a whole different level..
(maybe there's a thrill seeker in you waiting to be unleashed
next time, try taking a motorbike lesson
even just one, feel the power in your fingertips
      dictate your own thrilling sensations)
or not and stay safe on four wheels and two legs
      lol
