Goldfinch60

Each day it is in our lives,

And is a great teacher of life.

As when the sun sets,

It brings peace.

And when it rises,

It brings hope.

    When? It’s cloudy with possible showers;
Don’t tell me it doesn’t happen to you:
I know the English while away hours
Complaining of the latest weather too…..

Bottle up your sunshine and send it over here, post haste, Andy.
(Prepared to forget the beer and whisky you promised…… )

    • Goldfinch60

OK it is on its way Dave.

      so true Andy
(every new day's sun we glimpse
is a lesson in hope, manifesting
to affirm the value in this
      our gifted lives
since, that warmth on our cheeks
is often enough to remind us
      however dark
our clouds will make way, eventually
and that sunshine will light-up our path
      once again...)
      btw
      how was your performance?
      hope you had fun

      • Goldfinch60

Thank you Mek, yes the sun will always be there to light our lives.

It was a great evening the audience loved our singing as did we.

Today the teacher hid behind the curtains and the slip tells us it would be so until around noon tomorrow. The scholars await its shining.

          • Goldfinch60

The shining is always there, sometimes it is just hidden behind the "curtains"

The sun is indeed our center. It rises to tell us that the day is ours to make. And when it sets it may speak of a day well done. With all that we've learned in that day, there is hope for each successive one. Thank you dear Andy for this wonderful reflection.

            • Goldfinch60

              Most kind Bella, thank you.

              Andy
