Long Life Pleasure.

Goldfinch60

As we go through our lives

We want to do many things

To fulfil the enjoyment

That brings pleasure to us all.

As we get older it is never too late,

Never too late to do what you want.

But there is one thing,

One thing that you cannot do.

If you want to be younger,

That is impossible.

So enjoy your life,

And may a long life bring pleasure,

Bring pleasure to us all.

    Good write Gold.
Meanwhile - Ohh, why does one want to live long - when Orchi is around to sing? It's a living agony! heehee.

    • Goldfinch60

But Orchi is singing a long, long away so we cannot hear him. LOL

I'm studying exoplanets - outside our Solar System. Does the No.7 bus go there? Should I book a one-way trip there to sing?! lol.

          Pleasure at your leisure sounds good to me;
I do what I can with what I’ve got left.
Now I’m free of surgery on my knee
I’ve no intention of doing bereft…..

Bill Haley? - now that takes me back.... Thanks Andy.

          • Goldfinch60

No, ding bereft is just not on Dave.

On a serious note I have written the details of how I want my funeral to be carried out and as the people leave the church at the end I am having "Rock around the Clock" played.
I am not going yet though I still have too many people to annoy. LOL

            Andy

Love it, Andy - though I don't wish to have a funeral (put the bod out with the garbage - at that stage it has nothing to do with me).
And on another more serious note: I've never witnessed you annoying any one, yer silly bugger.............................. 🙂

So true, but as they say; we are only as old as we think we are. Age is in the mind, but the body reminds me sometimes that certain things are no longer possible. Yes enjoy life for what it is. Lovely write.

              • Goldfinch60

So true soren , the mind thinks we are younger than the body lets us. Thank you.
