The Freezing Air

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Sitting here on the chair
Feeling the freezing air
There's an electric heater on over there
I'll just have it on for a bit I swear
Cheaper than gas when you compare
I feel for the old people out there
Who can't afford to heat their home
Sat shivering all alone
Like covid lockdowns didn't take a toll
Have these energy companies got no soul?
The CEOs wanna take more
They don't care about the poor
People arguing about energy spending
Since 2020 bullshit been never ending
