Ukraine in Winter

Neville

Ukraine in Winter

While our children die starving and cold

in these holes

they randomly punch in the snow ..

Despite most of the free world praying

out loud, I can still see

a blue and gold flag waving and proud ..

What is it in the human soul that will not allow us to succumb in the direst of situations. Is it faith, fervor, strength, a firm belief in what is truly right and wrong? You pay homage to all that binds us together dear poet in that wonderful last line.

Shocking isn't it .. but until the world is put to writes, I thank you from the very bottom of my heart for your continued interest in so many of my scribbles and the support you afford me .. Neville

              and Defiantly! proud
              long in-to Spring's gusts
              may their flag be raised
              fluttering and high
as I fear we'll still be hoping
and wishing, when Easter's festivities roll around...
an important write, thank you Hyung
