Friend In the Mirror

wordbyrdwriting

the condensation is wiped away

a girl in the mirror appears.

she has big blue, even green eyes

depending on the hue.

she never wants to lie

those eyes, though, say otherwise.

sometimes.. the girl in the mirror cries.

how lucky is she

with the Lord as her Savior.

He is mine, He is yours.

together in this world

we pay no mind

and watch as our demons step aside.

with reflection and daily introspection

she remembers she is His.

she says, "today will be a good day"

and suddenly smiles.

my friend in the mirror

is brave.

    Omg, I love the formatting.
    Your words are so beautiful.
I also love the religious implications.
    Thx for this

Your honesty, hopefulness, and phrasing make this a powerful poem.
