Fear of Flying Solo
She could enter a room, without making a sound
and even those dying, would become more alive ..
Yet as she reached for his hand, he kicked his heels
in the sand and he begged her, to just let him go ..
So she took him an olive branch and whispered ..
You are not going anywhere today my love ..
Unless on my terms, and until you are stronger ..
Then, you may choose to fly solo, without or beside me ..

Love's effect shines deeply in this sensitive write on how to guide loved ones through the flight of finality. - - a truly potent read Nev.........x
thank you for visiting & for understanding Fay ... x
I'm torn apart by this one, Nev.
On one hand I have an absolute conviction that he should have his way without question.
But, but, but maybe, just maybe........
thank you for feeling this one DD .. your words here mean more than you might imagine ..
Doh! None of this applies to me and KP. I let her fly solo whenever she wants. I never hardly see her these days anyway! lol.
maybe that's a blessing ................. for her maybe 🙂
I see love, commitment, selflessness all wrapped up in this touching poem. The willingness to sacrifice for the good of another, whatever the cost, is true devotion. Beautifully written dear friend.
You may never know just how much your ongoing support & encouragement means Bella to this old fella .. but I assure you it means one a helluva lot .. & then some .. Thank you & again, with seasons best to you & yours 🙂
Wonderful sensitive write Neville.
Andy
Thanking you kindly Andy & truly tooly ................. Neville 🙂
tough love
can only exist, if being formulated
within truly loving heart's
those brave enough, to let go
and hope their cherished ones
will return, when the time is right...
(simple does it best sometimes
no innuendo or abstract illusiveness
just words, depicting a truth
we all recognise, at a glance
executed with the practised skill
of a Poet, supreme!)
I am on call & have just been called .................... Cheers brother Mek & take care over the forthcoming FP ............. Neville 🙂
