Tune: Personent Hodie
('Long ago, prophets knew')
*********
Jesus Christ comes to earth
Here behold, Saviour's birth
Comes midst mankind to dwell
The glad tidings now tell
Sound joyful Christmas bells
Chorus
He light of the world
God's plan here unfurled
Scatters darkness of night
Bring's salvation's day bright
In His love and His grace
God comes to human race
In person of the Son
Messiah, Promised One
Our Advent preps* now done (*preparations) - Chorus
He the Word of God true
Though as babe Him we view
At His birth welcome we
Him, and His glory see
Lasting eternally - Chorus

The tune name of this carol means 'resound or resonate'. It is also the title of an old carol from around 1582 in Latin. My next carol will be in Latin - not!

Love this one orchi,
Thanks B/C. You ringing them bells? Some may say 'Blessed bells, always waking me up this time of year.' Oohhh! I say that when KP gets the bells out at about 5am each morning now. lol.
HAHAHAHA 😂🤣😂🤣
This wonderful story of Jesus birth speaks to the birth of all, in hearts and souls. Once again beautifully told my friend. However if you do choose to use Latin next time, I took a year of it in high school, and don't remember a word. A very Happy Christmas to you!
Thanks Bella. My extent of Latin is almost this...... I took so long finding out what Carpe Diem meant, that by the time I found out there was not much day left to seize, as it was bedtime! Doh! The daft adventures of Orchi No.4785, or something like that. I've lost count. lol.
Fido of course speaks, writes, and understands Latin fluently. Seasons Greetings too.
You my friend are a wit and a charmer. This is the belly laugh of the day. Hats off to Fido, has he earned his degree yet?
I ticked the red heart shaped button Mr. O because in spite of everything, I quite like the sound of bells ringing & after all, tis the season for giving innit 🙂
Yes, thanks Neville. Bells OK - except if you're Quasimodo: 'The bells, the bells'.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
