Tune: Sandys
('Teach me, my God and King')
Colossians 3 v.22-25 and 4 v.1
********
Servants (employees) in all things do
Obey your masters (employers) true
No with eye-service, only when
They see you working then
But to please men not be
You aim, but the Lord, see
Work in singleness of heart, free
Serve Him here sincerely
And whatsoe'er you do
Do it heartily, true
As to the Lord, not to people
For He does see hearts all
And know that of the Lord
We shall receive, His word
Says [thus] the reward inheriting
The good He does us bring
For you the Lord Christ serve
And wrong deeds they deserve
Recompence, the Lord impartial
He shall, righteous, judge all
Masters (employers) give unto your
Servants (employees) now from your store
That which ish just, equal, knowing
Your Master, Lord, is King

Just the other day way reading up on an ancient notion of work as worship. Has Fido been doing the rounds?
Thanks CB. Yes lol.
