You are far more intelligent than me

Surely you see that your very view is your end

Forever frozen in the rigidity of self righteousness

A narrow myopic view, you see as visionary

In your infinite wisdom the universe becomes invisible

Can your Newtonian perspective of the infinite

Predict the Quantum mechanics of emotion

Are you unable to see that both may be true

In this binary view

Is it possible that your inner insecurities

Are projected, turning love to hate

And your caring to blame

Can you see that we are all imprisoned

In our own solitary confinement

Where any visitations are transient

And escape is punishable

By summary execution

Can you not see the entropy of your end

Locked in a false algorithm

Toward a set purpose of implosion

Where all choices lead to isolation, suspicion and rage

We often get into a mental rut when it comes to ourselves and we are none the wiser. It is said that there is wisdom in listening to outside opinions for consideration. An awesome way to start the mind this new year. Thanks Soren.

Your words speak of what I see too often in the world these days. Pride in rigidity, unwillingness to listen and rejection of truth when it challenges preconceived ideas. I suppose only time will tell if we can somehow bridge the gaps, chasms that we are creating in our society. Thank your for this deeply insightful write dear friend. Keep us thinking!

such a thorough and in-depth, overview commentary
          of our societal
          issues and wasted potential
          a great write!
          forgive me dear Poet
I read your words and just began to type another instinctive reply
thank you for inspiring me yet again
          (In striving to split atom's
          into bitesize certainties
          we negated, to decipher
          and cherish, those traits
          that allowed us to evolve
          from cave dweller's
          to modernity's
          high-rise buildings and aspirations...
          our evolutionary progress
          need not necessitate, we eliminate
all that we've accumulated, to date
          why not write algorithm's
          that perpetuate those finer traits
and virtues of our human race
why must we only utilise them
          for a binary limited, profiteering
          capitalist perspective
          we, write the software
so let us free ourselves from
          programming code, dependant
          on boom n bust
          'if' loops
          invest, in a greater scope
          for our societal hopes
          anchored upon our intuitive kindness'
          evolutionary, civility
why not live like we dream
          striving for that infinitely, greater
          than settling
for the ease of that hollow, better...)

A visionary response in poetic style. It is this type of response that makes your comments unique and they are deeply appreciated. Thank you again for the review L.B.
