Tune: Irby
('Once in royal David's city')
Isaiah 11 v.1-4
********
And there shall come forth a rod, shoot
From stem of David, from roots
Shall grow a Branch, the Promised One
The Messiah, God's own Son
Shall come, Spirit of the Lord
Be upon Him, speak true words
The Spirit shall then on Him rest
And indwell Him, He be blessed
The Spirit of wisdom, [in] each thing
And of right understanding
Spirit of counsel and might
Always pleasing in God's sight
And too the Spirit of knowledge
And fear of the Lord, courage
Shall be of quick understanding
In fear of God, discerning
Not judging by sight of eyes
Nor worldly hearing applies
Btu with righteousness judge shall He
Tend to poor and serve them well
Bring equity for meek of earth
Fulfil their destiny, worth
Shall smite earth with His mouth's rod
Speaking true the words of God

When prophecy is broadcast the wise men arise, Lady Wisdom is crying out in our streets.
Thanks CB. They are called 'wise men' or Magi, but the latter links to spookiness and 'magic'. You wise there?! lol.
