When I am Forgot
once driven
now
firmly stuck
though
much less like
snow
these days
and more like
some
old rusty nail
perhaps
dear lord
how quick I am
all but
completely forgot

You will not be forgotten Neville, after all I have one of your books.
Andy
Just between you & me Andy, I am a very honoured and humbled and truly grateful individual .. Thank you ever so much .. Neville
Oh no, not a 'has-been' like some clapped-out movie star past their sell-by date! lol.
Or mutton dressed as lamb. I refer of course to KP. lol.
Good write, erm,..., I forgot who ya are. Do shut up now Orchi, says Fido!
How write you are Mr. O .. & Fido of course 🙂
A slice of regret comes over from this sad reflection on life and cleverly drawn out in the final lines Reminds me of the old saying that "Rusting maybe but when once really loved never is one forgotten" ...... x
That's the spirit ..... thank you Fay .. x
Forgetting- I could plan my own surprise party.
You dear poet never.
ha .. remember to invite this old fella 🙂
It's so sad but true the world moves on pretty fast and I'd have to agree with you, at least we get to make a mark on each day that comes through!
Sad it might be, but so good to hear from you Dan .. thank you my friend .. Neville
