at the back of my door

amepiesces

why it can't last a little bit longer

why it comes like spring and then moves over

i wish to be embraced by you for eternity

but you left as a scent that touched ...

a mortal....

i searched the shallows for the depth you left

like a cup of tea overflowed by stress

i roamed the mountains the ruins and all

but never once i found the truth untold

at last so tired i came back and frowned

you were just standing there ..

giggling..

at the back of my door..

'but you left as a scent that touched ...
    a mortal....
i searched the shallows for the depth you left
like a cup of tea overflowed by stress'
wonderful imagery, I like how you put this together
    especially the title
the back door or even the very back of a door
    is a wonderfully complex
    and yet, immediately relatable
image for out of reach proximity..
you have a wonderfully accessible way of writing
an impressive skill, so few are gifted
    thanks for sharing dear Poet
    a great read

This is so beautiful dear poet!
      And so true.
Reminds me of a poem I wrote a while back ago entitled "If You Look Hard Enough You'll Find It."
It follows this battle between sadness and happiness.
      Your words truly delivered.
      Thanks.
