Mozart's Morning.

Goldfinch60

What a glorious way to start the day!

Down the stairs I came,

On went the radio

And there I was greeted,

Greeted by Mozart.

A piano sonata was being played,

I was taken away,

Taken away into Mozart’s fine world.

I sat there and listened,

Did nothing else but listened.

Was it a dream,

Had I not awoken yet?

But no this was real,

It was happening,

And it showed me how wonderful,

How wonderful this day would be.

It could not be anything else,

As being welcomed by Mozart

Was a great way to start this day.

  • Comment from author about the poem: When I get up in the morning switching on the radio is the first thing I do. This morning the beginning of the first movement of Mozart's Piano Sonata No 12 in F Major, K332 was being played and all I could do was sit and listen to it, the cup of tea had to wait.
