Don't touch me

Aa Harvey

Don’t touch me.

Valentine of mine, why are you still crying?

Why are your skies so grey? What is it you need me to say?

We used to be in love; it was meant to be the two of us,

But something happened and we crumbled to dust.

Whatever happened to our love?

You’re the girl with the saddest eyes;

You used to have the most beautiful smile.

I’m sorry I dragged your world into mine;

This is what happens when worlds collide.

Summer’s dead, winter’s every day.

We were young but we began to fade.

I guess time got in our way.

We were meant to grow better with age.

I’m a curse, your fatal disease.

You are pure, I’m on my knees.

I would save you from me,

If I had the strength to fight my insecurities.

It’s my words they seep into this.

Relationships like this aren’t meant to exist.

We were never meant to meet.

I just dreamed and you became my wish.

I’m a Cancer, you’re a Queen.

I am bitten by your endless meaning.

Your existence is my purity.

You protect me.

I couldn’t save you from me.

Runaway before you fall.

Do not chase me, I’m so impure.

Leave now while you still can.

Love yourself and don’t accept the love of this man.

It’s my end, begin your way.

I have no light, no glory days.

Hear my words, don’t do as I say.

Release yourself from my heartbroken cage.

Be safe; find your own way.

Make yourself in make up face.

Hide your true being from my gaze.

Maybe then you will be able to escape.

I‘m bad luck and bad at love

And bad at singing and bad at good.

I am yours, do not be mine.

Banish me so I can watch you shine.
