Midas touch

sorenbarrett

There was a time when we had nothing

Only dreams that we shared

We were happy in our innocence

Holding each other, into the others eyes we stared

And promised that we would always be together

That nothing could have this impaired

Now we have everything

Except the dreams we once had

Tears of pain turned a diamond ring

Cut deeply through our souls now sad

All we do is fight

And long to be apart

But I have kept my promise, to have you with me always

For I will never let go of the you, from long ago, residing in my heart
