Good Government

Tune: Old Yeavering

('Like a mighty river flowing')

Psalm 67

********

God be merciful to us, bless

Us, we His praises here confess

Cause His face to upon us shine

E'en His countenance divine

That His ways may on earth be known

His saving health unto us shown

Unto all nations, so all praise

Him, and to Him anthems raise

Let the people, O God, praise you

Let the nations joy in you true

For you shall judge all righteously

Your governance fair shall be

Then shall the earth yield her increase

God shall bless us, there no decrease

And all ends of earth shall Him fear

Reverence His presence near

[This refrain is repeated in the Psalm.

It fits in here as a repeat of Verse 3].

Let the people, O God, praise you

Let the nations joy in you true

For you shall judge all righteously

Your governance fair shall be
