Tune: Melcombe
('New every morning is the love')
Psalm 80 v.3-7
*********
Turn us again, O Lord, and cause
Your face to shine on us, no pause
And we shall be saved by your grace
And too your mercies we shall trace
O Lord of hosts, how long will you
Be angry and our prayers not view?
But hear them now, we do beseech
And your help so give unto each
You feed us with the bread of tears
And increased here have been our fears
Times of weeping sore we have known
Until your comforts to us shown
You make us a strife to neighbours
Our enemies grief us confers
They laugh and mock at our poor state
O come to our aid Lord not late
[Repeat verse 1, as a refrain in the Psalm]
Turn us again, O Lord, and cause
Your face to shine on us, no pause
And we shall be saved by your grace
And too your mercies we shall trace
