The Knife's Edge.

As the light of dawn breaks

The dark of the night is repelled

And once more the beauty of the day

Starts to shine before us

Light winning over darkness

The noon day is with us

And once more light has conquered all

That light which shows us the way

To a life of bright harmony

Light winning over darkness

The end of the day in near

As the light slowly dims

The memories of the daylight

Will never leave us

Light winning over darkness

The night and darkness descends

But look up into the sky

The light shines through

The holes in heavens floor

Light winning over darkness

This world is so full of strife

Its stands on the edge of a knife

The dark and the light

Continue their fight

To see who can win in this life

    Good write Gold.
They're spiritual words - dark and light.
There were holes in the platform on which I sang to the audience. They wished the holes were bigger so I would fall in one. lol.

Right to highlight the last lines - a truth, Andy.
Are you a betting man - or if you like I'll ask what you believe the outcome to be?

      Thank you Dave.

I would hope that the powers that be can start thinking of others in this world and not just what is in it for them.

      wonderful poetry Andy
      so relatable, a demonstration
      of purposed frustration..
      (no victory parades
      our rewards, merely survival's
      and repressed tears of regret
      in-to our past, while witnessing
      a knife-edge
      battlefield, between droplets
      of hope
      and life's, endless tidal waves
      of strife)

Thank you so much for your great reflection on my words Mek.
