Tune: Repton
('Dear Lord and Father of mankind')
Part of Syrian Clementine Liturgy Prayer
*********
Make us children of quietness
With us your graces bless
And heirs of peace, make strife to cease
Your healing balm in us release
Your life in us increase
Your life in us increase
Enkindle in us the fire bright
Illumined by your light
May we be, and too in us sow
Your concern, that we it may know
In your will and ways grow
In your will and ways grow
Strengthen our weakness by your power
Which we need every hour
And bind us closely unto you
And to each other, us renew
In unity's bond too
In unity's bond too

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.8.6.6. format. 'Part 2' of a Clemetine Prayer. 'Part 1' was a few days ago, though it's all one prayer in fact. I discovered these extra lines to it. It overlaps in a couple of places with 'Part 1'.
