Tune: St Fulbert

('Ye choirs of new Jerusalem')

Matthew 4 v.18-23

********

Jesus by sea of Galilee

Two brothers did He see

Simon Peter and Andrew, they

Were fishers there that day

Jesus said to them, Follow me

And I will make, so be

You fishers of men, they straightway

Left nets, with no delay

They followed Him, then Jesus saw

Two brothers by the shore

James and John sons of Zebedee

Working in ship they be

As they mended their nets Jesus

Did give them a call thus

To follow Him, and they left their

Nets and their father there

And Jesus went about teaching

And preaching and healing

So did His disciples share too

Gospel words, deeds did do
