Brief

Fay Slimm.

Brief.

The gaze
of latent sun falls on unsettled
events and
smothers hope of love's blaze ahead.

The breeze
of regret sighs quietly seeing
a teardrop
of temperate parting agreement.

The waves
ebb in wistful goodbye to our
brief moment
as time's crestfallen destiny sours.

The stars
tho' same as I, will remember
that our light
shone brilliantly when at its best.

    (sobering notes
    words that gently caress
    those scars we all carry
    deep within)
    another memorable read, dear Fay
    'time's crestfallen destiny'
    such a relatable wording

    • Fay Slimm.

What a gently sad ending....Despite the sorrow, peace and tranquility pervades this piece for me, Fay.

        • Fay Slimm.

You seeing the piece as gentle and tranquil pleases me greatly Dave as I meant the feel of the read to be just that despite an ending of a relationship - -- thanking you muchly.
