Contentment Considered

orchidee

Tune: Sandys

('Teach me, my God and King')

1 Timothy 6 v.6-8

*********

Godliness, it true be

With contentment, here see

It be great gain, of value great

And not mere luck or fate

For we brought in nothing

Into this world, each thing

Given to us by God, His grace

And His mercies we trace

And it is certain we

Can carry out, so be

Nothing of this world, empty hands

Depart we from this land

Having food and raiment

Let us so be content

With them, and with our God to guide

Us, no better beside

whereas orange may be the new black, I firmly believe that contentment is the new happiness ❤️

We must each be grateful for what we have, I have written a poem about this this morning and will put it up tomorrow.
