Remiss

Kinsey Peterson

We’ve never spoken for the joy of it

But I’ve heard your voice more intimately than my own.

We’ve never embraced after a hard day,

But I know what it feels like to be encircled in your arms.

I’ve never seen you smile at someone out of love,

But I’ve tasted your lips as you tasted mine.

what a poignant message perfectly threaded throughout the main body of todays post .. perfectly poemed and appropriately pitched for all those of us who have a thing about proper poetry .. I also seriously hope you get what you are so obviously looking for from a relationship .. no one should be abused by any other and if you need a decent hit man, then I know two very good ones ... ❤️

I can not tell if the hit man comment was a joke or not, but I already have a few in mind should things escalate. 🙂

Neat piece of poetry I liked, even as my literal mind could not quite make a connection between that and an abusive relationship.
Now I don't want to psychologise - there is, after all, someone already on this page far more qualified than me to do this; however, the repeat similar patterns in an individual's relationships has to be something to do with the similar choices made at the start......
