Kingly Kindlings

Tune: Woodlands

('Tell out my soul')

Psalm 89 v.20-28

********

The Lord did find David His servant true

David did always keep the Lord in view

With His holy oil He did him anoint

Unto His service He did him appoint

His Spirit would with him be established

And He would strengthen him, so as He wished

The enemy would not him defeat, for

The Lord would sustain him with power sure

And His faithfulness and His mercy too

Would be with him, and in the Lord's name true

He would be strong, and rule o'er sea and land

Enabled and helped by God's mighty hand

And he shall pray to God, his salvation

A rock, his father, compares unto none

And the Lord shall him bless, and raise him high

His mercy, covenant, be e'er him nigh
