Blessed are they whose sins forgiven

They know freedom from them then

Blessed are they unto whom the Lord

Extends His pardoning word

 

And to whom He does not impute

Sins, and does account them mute

Does not charge them to their account

But price paid from mercy's fount

 

Cleansed within, in their spirit no

Guile, deceit, they not now know

If keeping silent, withholding

Confession, it turmoil brings

 

But if acknowledging honest

Our sins be to God confessed

He will forgive, make us restored

To enjoy peace with our Lord
