Blow Wind

Bella Shepard

Oh blow wind, blow

Wash over me

Tussle my hair

Cool my skin

What are you

That treats me so gently

So lovingly

And yet I cannot see you

But hear you whispering in my ears

Bella this is beautiful and strikes deep in the soul for the inner voice or conscious like the wind can be gentle and it can not be seen but is felt just the same.

Thank you dear friend, for your words are so kind and thought filled, as they always are.

Just the kind of greeting I need when I step outside on these very hot humid days Bella. I felt it inside just now (closed up in a vain attempt to avoid the heat).
You almost portray it as a lover, and I think that's right. The next suburb to mine had a very dysfunctional relationship with the wind - trees blown down , roofs ripped off and deposited next door....... I'm staying with yours....

Ah dear friend, I to have experienced the wrath of that fickle, windy lover. However in my part of the world the wind has settled to a gentle breeze, and dare I say hints of spring are on the way. Hope you get some relief from the heat and humidity.

        another soothing insight
you've shared with us, dear poet
(dear friend, if you haven't - yet
        may I recommend you read
        Paulo Coelho's 'The Alchemist'
        then contemplate your poem
in the context of the levante wind
        and its capacity to deliver
        the messages of lonely
        and loving, heart's..)

Thank you dear friend for your kind words and reading suggestion. I've checked my library, and they have 'The Alchemist', it will be my next reserve.

This is really quite beautiful Bella and even with my hair cropped close, so easy to re-live and relate to ... Neville

            • Bella Shepard

Thank you dearest Neville, may the wind whisper softly to you always.
