Grant, Lord, that we here in life learn

To be content, to discern

In each situation, whate'er

Things in each day we may share

 

To know both how to be abased

Live humbly, and by you graces

And how to abound, to prosper

Still helped by your same grace sure

 

And everywhere and in all things

Instructed in what life brings

To know both, whether full, hungry

If too much or little be

 

And to know both how to abound

Where more than enough is found

And to suffer need, go without

Trust you to provide, no doubt

 

So we can do all things through He

Who strengthens us, Christ He be

Power to live through the hours

Life of Christ through us flowers
