Circle Of Life

Bella Shepard

I stand at the center of my circle of life

360 degrees of possibilities

Slowly

I turn one degree at a time

And with each

A different outcome

I must choose

But how do I know which is the right path forward

I keep turning

Pause

Take a deep breath

And step forward into my future

Did I choose wisely?

Only time will tell

if you remember way back when I suggested we form a cult .. well I am beginning to think its not such a bad idea since I often think precisely the same way you do .. but then again .. I guess most people do from time to time ..

Thank you dear Nev, the idea of a cult is quite appealing. I think we've all, at some time or another, wondered "What if?" But can never really know if it would have been better or worse. It's life's little guessing game, whether you want to play or not. As always I value your comments and appreciate your like mindedness.

The Hippies had it right - Make love, not war. I believe I am a Hippie at heart, come and join me you are more than welcome.

We are all thought to be part of the field of pure Potential so choices we make at one time could not be those we would make later - yet making the best of what is the Now or the Moment will I am sure guide us to pathways greener - - your fine metaphor re. the circle of life and after reading your relatable lines on the subject I do hope my ramblings are not too obscure Bella dear friend..

I love the words, field of pure Potential, you have expressed exactly what was in my head. I am forever grateful that we have come together in this existence, and I value the bond of friendship that we share. You posses extraordinary insight, and your comments are always inspiring.

Bella this is a fav The idea is so similar to what I feel. Infinite possibilities and each a step away. What will they result in only time will tell. A lovely write.

When I think about all the life experiences that have led me to this moment in time, typing this reply to someone who shares the same feeling, I feel indeed fortunate. Thank you for your thought-filled comment.

Your circle of life is really a link in a chain I feel, Bella. As you step out of one link you stand in the centre of another….
I really like the image, and the above only came to mind after you prompted it. So many thanks for that.

Dear friend I love your take on this poem. That's the wonderful thing about sharing, you get different points of view and that's what learning is all about. Thank you!

We all ask that question "What if....?" But we are where we are and of the many steps we have trod and circles we have travelled we are still here and know that the future will be bright.
              Life is good.

Dear Andy you always brighten my day with your comments. We are in each moment of life and it is to be cherished. Life is good! I love the hippie in your heart, and I am proud to join you.

We all want convience which is human nature, but would it really fulfilling if we always knew the outcome?

                • Bella Shepard

Wise observation my friend. Life will always keep us guessing, and the path we choose in life is ours to make. We are the authors of our future. Thank you so much for reading and for your insightful comment.

                  indeed, so true dear Poet
I just read Andy's poem today
vaunting hope's role in our lives
I think that's all we can do
take a plunge and hope for the best
I for one, wish you and yours
all the luck in the world

                  • Bella Shepard

Thank you my friend for these kind words. Somewhere in our hearts and souls lies the courage to take the plunge, amazing! May good luck always be with you and yours as well.
