The Lost Idea.

Goldfinch60

The idea was in my mind

To write a poem.

That poem never came

As other words took over

And another poem was written.

I wonder if I will ever write

The original poem.

I find I need to write it done straight away, otherwise it's gone, somewhere?

    • Goldfinch60

So very true 2781, many ideas fly out of the window if I do not write them immediately.

Sounds sort of like - oh, you know it - tomorrow is the today you worried about last week, etc, etc. Summat like that! lol.

Yes it is Orchi but today is wonderful as I got up this morning.

Today was horrible for everyone but me - I got up and sang! lol. It's utterly ruined everyone's day now!

This has happened so many times, even when I write down the idea immediately it changes over time, until sometimes the final product is nothing that I started with.

            • Goldfinch60

Yes it often happens like that soren but at least we write something.

How true your words dear Andy, been there so many times. The older I get, the more slender the thread that tries to hold onto a thought. Oh well, what will be will be, or maybe not be. Good write my friend.

                • Goldfinch60

Thank you Bella, you are so right about that slender thread of thought.

                  Andy
