Mission To Mankind

Tune: Servant Song

('Brother, sister, let me serve you')

Luke 4 v.16-19

************

Jesus in synagogue did read

From Isaiah's book indeed

What He read was fulfilled that day

As they met to worship, pray

He said, The Spirit of the Lord

Is upon me, true this word

Because He has anointed me

To do His purpose freely

To preach the gospel to the poor

Heal the broken-hearted sure

Preach deliverance to captives

Restoring the Spirit gives

Recovering of sight to blind

The way clear they shall see, find

They who are oppressed, released all

[It is] The Lord's year acceptable
