Brain Awakening.

Goldfinch60

I get into bed and start to doze,

My brain wakes up

And thoughts come into it,

But I fall deeper to sleep

And then it happens,

My brain comes out with a saying

And I come fully awake,

And think about what it said.

Such a simple thing,

But a thing that wakened me

And made me think.

It said to me,

“Every C in ‘Pacific Ocean’

Is pronounced differently”

That's also true of the word Australia.Every A in Australia is pronounced differently.Gotta love the man in Black.I loved that show Bonanza

Thank you David, there must be many words like that.

I have every Johnny Cash Album in my collection, so yes I love him too.

Yes I used to watch Bonanza 'back in the day'

I lay awake thinking (do I) - has that long hippo word got anything to do with hippos?!
I'm going to dazzle a church with my knowledge - it's their 150th anniversary this year - that'll be the sesquicentennial anniversary then!

Insomnia rules, Andy.....Still you can trip downstairs and write a fresh ditty, so it can't be doing you much harm..
