Almost Without Purpose
From the tiniest speck on
a windshield ..
To something suspended
on the surface
of water and wiped off
with an otherwise
insignificant, oily blue rag ..
To the cry of a bird
or some other creature
perhaps and yes ..
From somewhere else deep
in a forest at night ..
Something that might just
have gone mad or
maybe ignored and unheard ..
But if there’s good
reason and truly a purpose
for everything ..
Then it seems, some things
have barely a reason
and almost, no purpose at all ..

Every things has a purpose in life Neville, some we just do nit understand.
Andy
................................ so true innit 🙂
Yep, me marriage to KP has barely a reason, and almost, no purpose at all. Well, I can't think of any reason or purpose. I've not got the foggiest! lol.
You may not have got the foggiest Mr. O .. but one day you might just be mist 🙂
I reckon I'm in this fog or mist now. I've not been the same since I married KP. There's only been one way since then - downhill! lol.
Q&A: What is the last thing which passes through the insect’s mind as it hits the windscreen? Answer: its bum. (an oldie but a goldie)
So much fine detail everywhere…but the sum totality is what provides our reality….Nev…😇
that's precisely where I was coming from in a vague kind of way you old dog .. 🖤
Ah - -- natural questions Nev. - - the mystery of Purpose so simply and honestly penned . - --- The word - Almost in your chosen title puts these things in perspective for me when thinking of reasons for life's unquestionable varieties of sights and sounds - --- we know nothing yet but one day I'm sure you agree we will find all the answers......x
I just love it when you penetrate me like that our Fay ............. 💙x
'maybe ignored and unheard ..'
what is Purpose
in the face of such widespread
Ignorance
to the suffering, we all choose
as a background, ambience
to our plagued, existence
(such a vivid distillation
of paradox complexities
in our human condition;
a scene, as parable
words as subtle coaxing
of whatever humane, we still harbour
a Poem, to contemplate
cherish and revisit)
brilliantly executed!
I bow to your superior talent, dear Poet supreme
I am honoured, humbled and simultaneously blushing my friend .. thank you so much
So much philosophy in this write. Yes, almost is the key word. It is from our perspective that we see. From the bug's point of view we may have almost no purpose.
Many sincere thank you's sorenbarrett, I really do appreciate your consideration of my little scribble and the note you left behind ..
I agree with so many comments before mine...but I know someday we'll have the reason for the purpose.I also agree with your last statement about some things having barely no purpose at all.....x
thank you Christina .. x
And the acid that eats through the paintwork and such. We are at the mercy of the elements and its agencies.
thanks for checking in
No worries N. We each gotta watch out for the other 🙂
You pose quite a quandry my friend. Perhaps the purpose of something, which seems purposeless, lies hidden in the purpose of something else....? Everything seems ultimately linked somehow. You provide a poem to feast upon here.
I was so hoping you might gorge yourself on my little scribble Bella and as always my friend, you have not let me down .. thank you
Everything in life has a reason and a purpose, everything else are the idiosyncrasies of their existence. Take for instance, humankind.
A very deep thought expressed her in this poem, and I agree completely with your conclusion.
Thanks for taking a peek Phil
Lovely poem, there's always a purpose, but god gave us a mind to solve it, lol
Now whether we want to marinate the tiniest of specks, or the cries of the wild is up to our imagination.
Thank you Dove .. I simply love your visitations my friend .. Hope you hang around a while 🌼
