Tune: Herongate
('It is a thing most wonderful')
Hosea 11 v.8-9
*********
The Lord says, Now how shall I give
You up, my people? You shall live
In my sight, not as days of old
When stories of destruction told
For cities around the Dead Sea
Admah, Zeboim midst them be
Destroyed for their sins, but I shall
Not treat you like them, you fare well
My heart within me it is turned
And my emptions they are churned
For you deserving punishment
But from it here I shall relent
My repentings, my sympathy
It kindled together, so be
It be stirred in me, I will not
Vent my anger, peaceful your lot
I will not destroy my people
For I am God, they shall not fall
The Holy One among you I
Be, you shall know my mercies nigh

I wonder why God hasn't suffered a nervous breakdown by now..... 😇
Thanks for looking in D.
Advice from a friend with only the bestest intentions: Please stop obsessing re KP, and focus on support for God during this period of great trauma - you could be up for sainthood and be the only saint left standing as the world goes down the gurgler.... 😇
He certainly must have a great deal of patience (except for some like Sodom and Gomorrah)
Thanks S.
A wonderful hymn about a loving God...Christina

The love that lasts outlasts the latest love in our endless series of loves.
Thanks CB. That's a lot of loves!
its a great concept .. but sadly few get to realise it for one reason or another ..
Thanks N. Yes, true.
Meanwhile - I never get to realise any 'swoony' type of love - Fido's always on hand to prevent me swooning. heehee.
Ah, the quality of mercy, and love. May it always be. Good write.
