I am the common man
That no one wants to be
What you hate in me
You despise and deny in yourself
What you love in me is in you too
I am your fears, your hopes
Your ugliness and your beauty
I am your seduction and revulsion
Your morality and corruption
I am the reflection of all

indeed, a poem that states:
'I am, what we've all become...'
an intriguing read, dear Poet
Thank you L.B. We are a sea of humanity and in us lurks, to greater or lesser degree, a small piece of what is in all of us. So appreciate your esteemed review.
You definitely picked the right picture for your poem...so pretty. I don't think you are the 'common man' but a very good read sorenbarrett!!
Thank you so much Christina for your valued remarks. I see myself very much as the epitomy of the common man, having done all type of work and met all type of people but with nothing out of the normal to report. Thank you for your vote of confidence.
To realise that we are reflections of each other and projections of self is so freeing in a sense!
Thank you Cryptic. Yes I find it so. We are more alike than any of us want to admit. To a greater or lessor degree we all contain pieces of eachother.
Another awesome kernel for future treatment, processing and exposition- us containing pieces of each other!
I can see my self from where you are coming from .. excellent .. Neville
Clever Neville, but then I already knew that you were such. Thanks for the review and comment
I never knew you were all those things. Well, I know now, reading this fine write! heehee.
Only pieces and not the best ones either. Thanks for the read orchidee.
Your words strike the chord which reverbertes and connects us all. Thank you dear poet for such inspiring words.
Most dear poet, thank you for taking your time to read this write. Bella I appreciate your most kind comments.
Don't quite know how I came so late to the party.... though it does mean that most of the good work has already been done....
Given, though that in essence the similarities are as plain as you state, any possibility that all humankind might sometime all point in the same direction?
A thought provoking write, Soren
Thank you Dave for the review and welcome comment. Yes Dave the answer is when all the pins dropped from a box all land pointing in the same direction so will humans.
So true soren, we are what we are.
Andy
Thank you Andy for taking your time to review this piece. Indeed we are what we are.
