Tune: St Peter
('How sweet the name of Jesus sounds')
Matthew 4 v.1-4
*******
Jesus was led by the Spirit
As God's purpose did fit
Led into wilderness to be
Tempted by Satan, see
He fasted forty days and nights
And knew hunger-pains bites
Tempter said to Him, If you be
The Son of God, agree
Agree to turn these stones to bread
And so you shall be fed
Your hunger met, and energy
From food you shall have free
But Jesus answered, It is wrote
Here to you I do quote
Man shall not live by bread alone
But each word of God own
Each word that from God's mouth proceeds
That sustains, as we heed
Though needing our food physical
More so food spiritual

The tempter needs to be bought into line.
With you and KP it should be a breeze;
But KP and the tempter both align,
While you spend too much time on your kneesβ¦ π
Thanks Dave.
Are you too afraid to make a proper response with Fido around? All that effort I carefully compose in appreciation and all I get is 'Thanks Dave'.....
Yes, Fido don\'t let me say too much! lol. I will send ya a loaf of bread. Or will it be a stone?
Better be bread - one kg of bread is gonner to be lighter than one kg of stone.....
I'm humbled by your kindness and consideration, orchi.....
I'm looking into things of weight, etc at the moment, on a course. Erm, it will be the same weight, one kg, but one kg of stones would be smaller than one kg of bread. Yes?
Aww, why they say I never give them anything. Stones will be good enough for most of them! lol.
Wot - you want to save on postage? A bit tight are yer?.....π!!!
It will still be 1kg postage, but a smaller package for the stones, as they're heavier, so you get less of them. And you can't eat 'em either!
Love the way you worry about other people's waistlines, you lithe athlete, you......
while standing tall
indeed erect
he called out loud
gawd flippin heck ..
if I am to eat another stone
I'll end up dead
I need summat else instead
so please just gimmi bread ..
While kneelin down
and fit to bust
he whispered low
and low he cussed ..
I'm not starvin
but when needs must
I might just munch upon a few locusts .... πͺ³πͺ²π·οΈπ¦π§π
Thanks N. You having Locust Pie for dinner?!
N - this sounds a bit like:
There was an old trout named KP..
I can't finish the limerick - I will swoon! lol.
