In the middle of the night (Lenore's view)

AxelsBookOfPoetry

In the middle of the night

While she was dead asleep,

I've gone out of the room

That the Deans highly forbid.

Tip-toe past the skims

Which don't even bat an eye,

I sneak past to the hallway

Right where the moon shines;

There, I see my glowing goddess..

Under a willow tree

With her lips so charming,

Drinking a cup of tea.
