Tune: Thornbury
('Thy hand, O God, has guided')
Psalm 105 v.38-45
********
The Lord brought out His people
Israel, from Egypt all
Egyptians they were plagued there
God's judgements they did share
And they were glad when Israel
Departed, told the tale
Of their release, captivity
Was broken, they were free
For the fear of Israel fell
On Egyptians, they well
Knew the Lord's workings, His deeds
Meeting His people's needs
He spread cloud for covering
Out of Egypt did bring
His people, and fire to give
Light in the night, they live
They asked, and He did quails bring
Bread of heaven, each thing
To satisfy them, and He
Did open the rock, see
And waters gushed out, the ran
To quench the thirst of man
Ran in dry places, they flowed
Like a river bestowed
For He did remember sure
His holy promise pure
And Abraham His servant
He helped, did not relent
He gave them lands of heathen
Their inheritance then
They came into possessions
They His true daughters, sons
Was so that they might observe
The Lord's words and Him serve
keep His statutes and commands
And so enjoy the lands
Ans keep His laws, His name praise
Fresh thanks unto Him raise
He still their guide and faithful
Unto His people all

it is of course the honourable thing to do isn't it .. making provision for any promise made, that is .. 🐥👍
Thanks Neville.
So He was the essence of colonialism, as 'He gave them lands of heathen'............ Pls explain......
Well, some of the surrounding nations of Israel were seen as enemy lands. He brought them into the 'Promised Land'.
Of every tree created! Now if that is generous provision, we can't realise what is!
Thanks CB.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
