So I’ve been told - and perhaps that is true.
When leadership don't listen to the lore,
Then electors must act rather than spew.

it is great to read something i can understand and relate too.. i find that, sadly, today, some of the poems being composed and published, are too obscure for my comprehension...

Until the system of polotics changes this will always be true. Polititions are elected by pleasing the greatest number of constituents so no action is often safer than any action. I've read Plato, Marx, Jefferson and many others, none of them have the answer. Enjoyed the read.
Thanks Soren . I'd be the first to admit that political systems are always going to be dynamic... it just seems that particularly the anglophone systems appear to be going down the gurgler right now.

Like the ever hopeful attitude, Lorna. My hopeful/despair goes up and down like a sine wave. (I'm telling you this confidentially, you understand, because I really cannot enjoy expressions of optimism when my despairing can see too much wrong - but you are obviously an exception).

Oh Bella, just discovered your post here after all this time - and at this late stage possibly I could get away with "too late". However your truth is so self evident to me that I have to respond even if it is only with a heartfelt thanks for your understanding.
Dear Dave, We had a great vacationand and got home on June 21. However, a day and a half later my husband became ill and we ended up in the Emergency Room. He was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with Legionella Pneumonia, more commonly known here as Legionaires Disease , contracted through bacteria found in water droplets often time in air conditioning units and hot tubs. We used hot tubs during our stays at a couple of hotels during our vacation which might account for it. As of today, June 26 he's still there, but well on the road to recovery. I'm eager to catch up with everyone once he's home. Thank you my friend, it is always so nice to share our thoughts. God bless!

Here, I've had comments to my political stuff like 'don't let them bother you'. Well they bloody well do. Over a fairly long life I've seen changes in political mood which bothers, bugs, whatever and I don't like it....
I liked it, but leadership and commitment rarely cross paths.
Sadly.....

Until we wreak ourselves into a point of collapse. Nothing will change.. its either too comfy or conditioning to do nothing but complain!

Another opinion deftly expressed. It seems those who are chosen to lead, do not know the meaning of the word.
They cannot lead with nothing but a glib tongue, What's needed is a strong heart. Would you go into battle with the one who tries to talk you into going first or with he who leads and says, "Follow me."
